حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ ضَامِنٌ وَالْمُؤَذِّنُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ اللَّهُمَّ أَرْشِدْ الْأَئِمَّةَ وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ قَالَ
وَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ أَسْوَدُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ كَمَا قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَرْشِدْ الْأَئِمَّةَ وَاغْفِرْ لِلْمُؤَذِّنِينَ قَالَ وَكَذَا قَالَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ فُضَيْلٍ أَيْضًا وَزَائِدَةُ أَيْضًا حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ يَعْنِي عَنْهُ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, he said: al-A'mash narrated to us from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The imam is a guarantor and the mu'adhdhin is a trustee. O Allah, guide the imams and forgive the mu'adhdhins." Aswad also narrated this to us similarly, he said: Sharik narrated to us from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah — as Muhammad said: "Guide the imams and forgive the mu'adhdhins." He said: And likewise Ibn Fudayl and Za'idah said the same. Mu'awiyah also narrated it to us from him.
