حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُنْكَحُ النِّسَاءُ لِأَرْبَعٍ لِمَالِهَا وَجَمَالِهَا وَحَسَبِهَا وَدِينِهَا فَاظْفَرْ بِذَاتِ الدِّينِ تَرِبَتْ يَدَاكَ

Isnad Chain

English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from 'Ubaydullah, he said: Sa'id narrated to me from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ: "Women are married for four reasons: her wealth, her beauty, her lineage, and her religion. Choose the one with religion — may your hands be dusty (i.e., you will prosper)."
