حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ خَادِمُ أَحَدِكُمْ بِطَعَامِهِ فَلْيُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ وَلِيَ عِلَاجَهُ وَحَرَّهُ

English Translation
Yahya narrated to us from Shu'bah, he said: Muhammad ibn Ziyad narrated to us from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) — and Ibn Ja'far said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, he said: I heard Abu Hurayrah — from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "When the servant of one of you brings him his food, let him seat him with him. If he does not seat him with him, then let him hand him a morsel or two, for he is the one who handled its preparation and its heat."
