ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَوْتَ صَبِيٍّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَخَفَّفَ الصَّلَاةَ

English Translation

Yahya narrated to us from Ibn 'Ajlan, he said: I heard my father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): the Prophet ﷺ heard the sound of a child crying during the prayer, so he shortened the prayer.
