English Translation

Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said Muhammad ibn Amr informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'The Fire complained to its Lord and said: "O Lord, parts of me are consuming other parts." So He permitted it two breaths: a breath in winter and a breath in summer. That is the most intense cold you experience, and the most intense heat you experience.'
