English Translation

Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, he said Hammad narrated to us, from Abu al-Muhazzim, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Verily, a servant commits a sin and he says: "O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me." So He forgives him. Then he commits a sin and says: "O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me." So He forgives him. Then he commits a sin and says: "O Lord, I have sinned, so forgive me." So He says: "My servant knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and takes account for them. I have forgiven My servant, so let him do as he wishes."'
