English Translation
Husayn narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Mansur, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said — and I think he mentioned it from the Prophet ﷺ: 'A man visited a brother of his in another town, and Allah sent an angel to meet him on the road. The angel said: "Where are you going?" He said: "I am going to visit a brother of mine in this town." He said: "Do you have any favor with him that you wish to collect?" He said: "No, except that I love him for the sake of Allah (عز وجل)." He said: "I am a messenger from Allah to you, [telling you] that Allah loves you as you have loved him for His sake."'
