حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ وَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الل
َّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا لَقِيتُمْ الْيَهُودَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَاضْطَرُّوهُمْ إِلَى أَضْيَقِهَا وَلَا تَبْدَءُوهُمْ بِالسَّلَامِ قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْمُشْرِكِينَ بِالطَّرِيقِ

English Translation
Waki' and Abu Nu'aym — who is al-Fadl ibn Dukayn — narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you meet the Jews on the road, force them to the narrowest part of it, and do not initiate the greeting of salam with them.' Abu Nu'aym said: '(When you meet) the polytheists on the road.'
