حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَ

نْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيَسْمَعُ خَفْقَ نِعَالِهِمْ إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us from Sufyan, from al-Suddi, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) — Sufyan said he raised it (to the Prophet ﷺ): 'Indeed, the dead person hears the sound of their sandals when they turn and depart.'
