Hadith #138
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ الضَّبِّيّ
ُ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلَاثٌ إِذَا خَرَجْنَ لَمْ يَنْفَعْ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَالدُّخَانُ وَدَابَّةُ الْأَرْضِ

English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, who said: Fudayl ibn Ghazwan al-Dabbi narrated to us from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Three things, when they emerge, faith will not benefit a soul that did not believe before or earned good through its faith: the rising of the sun from its west, the smoke, and the beast of the earth.'
