حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى

اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ فُلَانًا يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ سَرَقَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ سَيَنْهَاهُ مَا يَقُولُ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, who said: al-A'mash narrated to us, who said: Abu Salih informed us from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Such-and-such person prays at night, but when morning comes, he steals.' He ﷺ said: 'What he says (in prayer) will soon prevent him from that.'
