حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الضَّحَّاكِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ
الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا سَبْعِينَ أَوْ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ هِيَ شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ أَوْ مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ قُلْتُ لِشُعْبَةَ هِيَ شَجَرَةُ الْخُلْدِ قَالَ لَيْسَ فِيهَا هِيَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu al-Dahhak narrating from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: "In Paradise there is a tree in whose shade a rider could travel for seventy — or one hundred — years. It is the Tree of Eternity (Shajarat al-Khuld)." Hajjaj said: "Or one hundred years, the Tree of Eternity." I said to Shu'bah: "It is the Tree of Eternity?" He said: "The word 'it is' (hiya) is not in it."
