حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ الْمَعْنَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى
اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ أَكْلًا كَثِيرًا ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ أَسْلَمَ فَكَانَ يَأْكُلُ أَكْلًا قَلِيلًا فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ وَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ يَأْكُلُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Adi ibn Thabit — Bahz said in his narration: 'Adi ibn Thabit informed me — he said: I heard Abu Hazim narrating from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was a disbeliever and used to eat a great deal. Then he accepted Islam and would eat little. This was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "The disbeliever eats with seven intestines, while the Muslim eats with one intestine."
