‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏شُعْبَةَ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْعَلَاءِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏الْمُؤْمِنُ يَغَارُ وَاللَّهُ أَشَدُّ غَيْرًا ‏

English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Shu'bah, from al-'Ala', from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The believer has ghayrah (protective jealousy), and Allah's ghayrah is more intense.'
