English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Fasting is a shield; so when one of you is fasting, let him not use obscene language nor act in an ignorant manner. If someone fights him or insults him, let him say: 'I am fasting.' By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, the breath of a fasting person is sweeter to Allah than the scent of musk. The fasting person has two moments of joy: when he breaks his fast, he rejoices in his breaking of it, and when he meets his Lord, he rejoices in his fasting."
