حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي س

ُمَيٌّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَضَعَ ثَوْبَهُ أَوْ يَدَهُ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ وَخَفَضَ أَوْ غَضَّ مِنْ صَوْتِهِ

English Translation

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Ibn 'Ajlan, who said: Sumayy narrated to me from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sneezed, he would place his garment or his hand over his forehead and lower — or muffle — his voice.'
