حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَ
نَسٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَعَلَيْهِ خَلَاصُهُ كُلِّهِ فِي مَالِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ اسْتُسْعِيَ الْعَبْدُ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقٍ عَلَيْهِ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever frees his share of a jointly-owned slave must free the rest from his own wealth. If he does not have the means, the slave shall be allowed to work (to earn his freedom) without being overburdened."
