Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي اللَّيْثِيَّ عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ سَمِعَهُ عَنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرِيد
ُ سَفَرًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْصِنِي فَقَالَ أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَهُ الْأَرْضَ وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ intending to travel and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, advise me.' He said: 'I advise you to be mindful of Allah, and to say takbir upon every elevated ground.' When the man turned away, he (ﷺ) said: 'O Allah, fold the distance for him and make his journey easy.'"
