Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us from Usamah, from Sa'id, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'How many people fast and gain nothing from their fasting except hunger, and how many people stand in night prayer and gain nothing from their standing except sleeplessness.'
