حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ ضَمْضَمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص
َلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الْأَسْوَدَيْنِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قُلْتُ لِيَحْيَى مَا يَعْنِي بِالْأَسْوَدَيْنِ قَالَ الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir informed us, from Damdam, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered a man to kill snakes, then he said: 'Leave the small household snakes (jinnaan al-buyut) alone.'
