English Translation

Bahz narrated to us — and 'Affan narrated to us — they said: Hammam narrated to us. Qatadah was asked about a man who prayed one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer, then the sun rose — 'Affan said: then the edge of the sun appeared. He said: Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before the sun rises, he has caught the Fajr. And whoever catches one rak'ah of the 'Asr prayer before the sun sets, he has caught the 'Asr.'
