English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no child born except upon the fitrah [natural disposition].' — And he said in another narration: 'except upon this religion. Then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian, just as an animal produces a whole animal — do you find any born mutilated?' Then Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) recited: 'The fitrah of Allah upon which He created mankind' [Quran 30:30].
