حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول

ُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَسُبُّوا الدَّهْرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّهْرُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي لِي أُجَدِّدُهَا وَأُبْلِيهَا وَآتِي بِمُلُوكٍ بَعْدَ مُلُوكٍ

English Translation

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, Hisham ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Aslam, from Dhakwan, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not curse time, for indeed Allah (عز وجل) said: I am Time (al-Dahr). In My hand are the night and the day. I alternate them as I wish.'
