English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ judged that in [the killing of] a fetus, a ghurrah must be paid — a male or female slave. The one against whom it was judged said: 'How can I pay blood money for one who neither ate nor drank, nor cried out, nor made a sound? The like of that is worthless.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'This is one of the soothsayers' brothers [i.e., he speaks like a soothsayer in rhymed prose].'
