حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي
سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً وَسَلَكَتْ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَتَهُمْ

English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been one of the Ansar. And if the people took a valley and the Ansar took a mountain pass, I would take the mountain pass of the Ansar.'
