Hadith #284

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَدِمَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ وَأَصْحَابُهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ عَصَتْ و
َأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ هَلَكَتْ دَوْسٌ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهَا

English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Amr informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: Al-Tufayl ibn Amr al-Dawsi and his companions came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed Daws has disobeyed and refused.' So they said: 'Invoke Allah against them.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'O Allah, guide Daws and bring them.' He did not curse them.
