English Translation

Yazid narrated to us, Muhammad informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah (عز وجل) said: 'Every deed of the son of Adam is for him; the good deed is multiplied tenfold to seven hundred fold. Allah (عز وجل) said: Except for fasting, for it is for Me and I shall reward it. He leaves his food and his desire for My sake. The fasting person has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. And the breath of the fasting person's mouth is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk.'
