English Translation
Yazid and Abu Amir narrated to us, they said: Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Ajlan, the freed slave of al-Mushma'ill—Abu Amir said: the freed slave of Hakim—and Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri said: the freed slave of Hamzah—from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'There is no adha (i.e., there should be no harmful animal), no tiyarah (superstitious belief in omens), no hammah (pre-Islamic belief about owls), and no safar (superstition about the month of Safar). Flee from the leper as you would flee from a lion.'
