English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, al-Mas'udi informed us, from Imran ibn Umayr, who said: I complained to Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah about some people who prevented me from water. He said: I heard Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه)—al-Mas'udi said: I think he attributed it to the Prophet ﷺ—say: 'Whoever prevents surplus water to withhold pasture, Allah will say to him on the Day of Resurrection: Today I withhold from you My bounty just as you withheld the surplus of what you did not create with your own hands.'
