English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, who said: Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said: 'The mouse is from among those that were transformed. The proof of that is that when camel's milk is placed before it, it does not drink from it, but when goat's milk is placed before it, it drinks from it.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allah transformed a group of the Children of Israel into animals. I do not know—perhaps the mice were among them.' This was before it was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ that they had perished and did not leave offspring.
