English Translation

Yazid narrated to us, Hisham ibn Hassan informed us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Let none of you say: My slave (abdi), my slave-girl (amati). Rather let him say: My boy (fataya), my girl (fatati). And let none of you say: My lord (rabbi). Rather let him say: My master (sayyidi).'
