حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَج
ْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ

English Translation
Al-Dahhak ibn Makhlad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ajlan narrated to us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Leave me with what I have left you, for those before you were destroyed because of their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. When I forbid you from something, avoid it. And when I command you with something, do as much of it as you are able.'
