Hadith #463

English Translation
Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, Yunus informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) who said: 'The prayer was established and the rows were straightened while standing. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us, and when he stood in his place, he remembered that he was in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah). He said to us: Stay in your places. Then he went back, performed ghusl, came out with his head dripping, and said the takbir. We prayed with him.'
