حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّرَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَيْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَسَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا لَنَا انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَسْجِ
دِ التَّقْوَى فَانْطَلَقْنَا نَحْوَهُ فَاسْتَقْبَلْنَاهُ يَدَاهُ عَلَى كَاهِلِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا فَثُرْنَا فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَسَمُرَةُ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated: 'I, Abdullah ibn 'Umar, and Samurah ibn Jundub went to the Prophet ﷺ, and we came to him. He said: Each one of you should take hold of a firebrand from Hellfire. We looked and there was a man with burning firebrands in his hand. the Prophet ﷺ said: O Allah, indeed I entrust with You from Hellfire. Samurah said: O Messenger of Allah, I swear by the One who sent you with the truth, I am stronger in restraining my hand.'
