Hadith #58
Arabic Text
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ عَمَلَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ
English Translation
And with the same chain of narration, [the Prophet ﷺ] said: 'Indeed a man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then Allah seals his life with the deeds of the people of the Fire, making him of the people of the Fire. And indeed a man may do the deeds of the people of the Fire for a long time, then Allah seals his life with the deeds of the people of Paradise, making him of the people of Paradise.'
