‏ ‏وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَعْمَلُ الزَّمَانَ ‏ ‏الطَّوِيلَ بِأَعْمَالِ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ يَخْتِمُ اللَّهُ ‏ ‏لَهُ عَمَلَهُ بِأَعْمَالِ ‏ ‏أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيَجْعَلُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُدْخِلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ ‏

English Translation

And with the same chain of narration, [the Prophet ﷺ] said: 'Indeed a man may do the deeds of the people of Paradise for a long time, then Allah seals his life with the deeds of the people of the Fire, making him of the people of the Fire. And indeed a man may do the deeds of the people of the Fire for a long time, then Allah seals his life with the deeds of the people of Paradise, making him of the people of Paradise.'
