حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَارْتَدَّ مَ
نْ ارْتَدَّ أَرَادَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ قِتَالَهُمْ قَالَ عُمَرُ كَيْفَ تُقَاتِلُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَاللَّهِ لَأُقَاتِلَنَّ قَوْمًا ارْتَدُّوا عَنْ الزَّكَاةِ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ مَنَعُونِي عَنَاقًا مِمَّا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ لَقَاتَلْتُهُمْ قَالَ عُمَرُ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ اللَّهَ شَرَحَ صَدْرَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ لِقِتَالِهِمْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ

English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'We are the last [in this world] but the first on the Day of Resurrection. We are the first to enter Paradise. They were given the Book before us and we were given it after them. They differed regarding it, and Allah guided us to the truth of what they differed about. This is the day concerning which they differed — this day is for us, tomorrow is for the Jews, and the day after is for the Christians.'
