English Translation

Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) narrated that a man from the Ansar was in need. His family said: 'Go to the Prophet ﷺ and ask him.' When he went to the Prophet ﷺ, he found him saying: 'Whoever seeks to be independent, Allah will make him independent. Whoever seeks patience, Allah will give him patience. No one is given anything better or more comprehensive than patience.' So the man returned without asking.
