Yunus narrated to us, Hammad, meaning Ibn Zayd, narrated to us, Bishr ibn Harb narrated to us, who said: I heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) say: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited al-wisaal (fasting continuously without breaking fast at night). The Muslims said: "But you practice wisaal, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "I am not like any of you. I spend the night with my Lord, and He feeds me and gives me drink."'
