'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah or 'Ata' ibn Yazid — Ma'mar was unsure — from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: A man said: O Messenger of Allah, which people are best? He said: 'A believer who strives in the cause of Allah with his self and his wealth.' They said: Then who? He said: 'A believer in a mountain pass among the mountain passes, who fears Allah and spares people from his evil.'
