English Translation

Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Firas, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه), from the Prophet ﷺ of Allah ﷺ who said: 'Charity is not permissible for a wealthy person except in five cases: one who is appointed to collect it, a warrior in the cause of Allah, a wealthy person who buys it with his own money, a poor person who receives charity and gives it as a gift to a wealthy person, or a debtor.'
