Isma'il ibn Muhammad narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn 'Abbad narrated to us, Bishr ibn Harb narrated to us, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a lizard (dabb). He turned it over repeatedly and said: 'Indeed a nation from the Children of Israel was transformed, and I do not know whether this is from them or not.' He did not eat it and did not forbid it.
