حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ع
َنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً بَقِيَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مَخْرَجَهُ إِلَى حُنَيْنٍ فَصَامَ طَوَائِفُ مِنْ النَّاسِ وَأَفْطَرَ آخَرُونَ فَلَمْ يَعِبْ الصَّائِمُ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ وَلَا الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the twelfth of Dhul-Hijjah. When we reached al-Rawha', the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon and said: 'I hear you say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is performing Hajj — that is well and good. Indeed were it not for the sacrificial animal I brought, I would have made it an 'Umrah. So whoever among you does not have a sacrificial animal, let him exit ihram and make it an 'Umrah.' So the people did that.
