حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَيَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نُرْزَقُ تَمْرَ الْجَمْعِ قَالَ يَزِيدُ تَمْرًا مِنْ تَمْرِ الْجَمْعِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ فَنَبِيعُ الصَّاعَيْنِ بِالصَّاعِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَا صَاعَيْ تَمْرٍ بِصَاعٍ وَلَا صَاعَيْ حِنْطَةٍ بِصَاعٍ وَلَا دِرْهَمَيْنِ بِدِرْهَمٍ قَالَ يَزِيدُ لَا صَاعَا تَمْرٍ بِصَاعٍ وَلَا صَاعَا حِنْطَةٍ بِصَاعٍ

English Translation
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Hisham narrated to us — and Yazid informed us, Hisham narrated to us — from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) who said: We used to be given mixed dates (tamr al-jam'), which was a mixture of various types of dates. We would sell two sa's of it for one sa'. the Prophet ﷺ heard about that and said: 'No two sa's of dates for one sa', and no two sa's of wheat for one sa', and no two dirhams for one dirham.'
