English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab who said: The first to advance the khutbah before the prayer (on Eid) was Marwan. A man stood up and said: O Marwan, you have opposed the Sunnah! He said: What used to be done has been abandoned. Abu Sa'id (رضي الله عنه) said: As for this man, he has fulfilled his duty. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand. If he is unable to, then with his tongue. If he is unable to, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith.'
