English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Hisham informed us, from Yahya, 'Iyad narrated to us that he asked Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه), and he said: One of us prays and does not know how many rak'ahs he has prayed. He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When one of you prays and does not know whether he has prayed three or four, let him pray another rak'ah and then prostrate two prostrations while sitting before the taslim. If it happens that he prayed five, they will make it even for him. And if he completed his prayer properly, they will be a humiliation for Shaytan.'
