حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ال
ْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعَالَى جَدُّكَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

English Translation
Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, he said: Ja'far ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn 'Ali, from Abu al-Mutawakkil, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say when he stood for the night prayer: 'Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. Blessed is Your Name, exalted is Your Majesty, and there is no god besides You.' Then he would say: 'There is no god but Allah' three times, then say: 'Allah is greater than all' three times. Then he would say: 'I seek refuge with Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Shaytan, from his whispers, his breath, and his blowing.' Then he would recite.
