English Translation

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, Salim — meaning Ibn Abi Hafsah — and al-A'mash and Abdullah ibn Suhban and Kathir al-Nawwa' and Ibn Abi Layla narrated to us, from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed I am leaving among you the Two Weighty Things, one of which is greater than the other: the Book of Allah, a rope extended from heaven to earth, and my progeny, my Ahl al-Bayt. They will never separate until they come to me at the Pool."
