حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ عَطَسَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلَانِ فَشَم
َّتَ أَحَدَهُمَا أَوْ قَالَ سَمَّتَ وَتَرَكَ الْآخَرَ فَقِيلَ رَجُلَانِ عَطَسَ أَحَدُهُمَا فَشَمَّتَّهُ وَلَمْ تُشَمِّتْ الْآخَرَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا حَمِدَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

English Translation
Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman narrated to us, he said: My father said: Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) narrated to us — I think he said: Two men sneezed in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. He said 'yarhamukallah' [may Allah have mercy on you] to one of them and did not say it to the other. The one to whom he did not respond said: "So-and-so sneezed and you responded to him, but I sneezed and you did not respond to me." He said: "This one praised Allah, and you did not praise Allah."
