حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَل

َّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَلَهُمْ يَوْمَانِ يَلْعَبُونَ فِيهِمَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَدْ أَبْدَلَكُمْ بِهِمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُمَا يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ

English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah and they had two days in which they played during the Jahiliyyah. He said: "Allah has replaced them for you with two better days: the day of al-Adha and the day of al-Fitr."
