English Translation
Ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: Abu Talhah (رضي الله عنه) used to shoot arrows in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to raise himself behind Abu Talhah to look. Abu Talhah would raise his chest and say: "O Prophet of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Do not raise your head, lest an arrow from the enemy strike you. My chest is a shield for your chest."
